Hello 2022!… Fresh Start For A Better Year

Here it is January 1, Hello 2022! I hope you had the chance to feel the magic of the holiday season. New Years has come and gone as I sit here in my bed reflecting on this past year. This has truly been the most exhausting year ever, but in the best way possible. I had been given the gift of motherhood at the start of 2021 and here she is almost 1 year old! Just knowing, as a mother, that each year the holiday season is going to get more and more magical makes my heart so full.

Reflecting on all that Madison’s accomplished and learned this whole year got me thinking about what I wanted to work on and grow for myself this year. I thought id share with you what I planned on working on to become a better, more relaxed, me this year.

Hello 2022

Live In The Moment

Looking ahead and thinking about what’s next has always been something I’ve struggled with not doing. I want to learn to enjoy the season I am in and stop thinking about the future. Being more present and living in the moment will help with feeling anxious at times too. Time moves so fast and I want to start enjoying every second of it.

Work-Life Balance

Going back to work at a retail store four days a week has helped me feel more like myself again but it also brings on the mom guilt. Being a new mom the guilt can sometimes hold me back from things that might be really good for me. I want to start participating in going out with friends more and maybe even get my nails done once in a while again.

Healthy Lifestyle

Fatigue has been something that I’ve struggled with this year as most people have the last few years. I have never really been the person who enjoyed working out or typically watched what I ate that much. After having Madison this past year my body has changed a lot. Eating healthier and finding workouts I really enjoy and commit to will be key to feeling more energetic and less sluggish. I’ve heard so much about Obé Fitness online classes but have used free youtube classes in the past.

Date Nights

Date nights are so fun! It gives you the time to reconnect and enjoy each others company in a completely different way. After this past year Morgan and I could use more date nights. I do believe that you need to keep that romantic atmosphere alive as it sometimes can be forgotten with the motions of the day to day life. Talking about goals and dreams can help keep you going on the same path.
